Why college football is better than pro football-Mark Knudson PDF Print E-mail

College football is a better game than professional football.

Granted, around here, that’s a tough argument to make, considering we treat our Denver Broncos with the same kind of passion the rest of the country reserves for their college teams. Still, when you look at the games overall, and take in all the factors nation wide, it’s clear that the college game, warts (crappy BCS system) and all is more exciting and offers better entertainment than the pro game.

Some reasons:

Passion: Outside of a few select places, like Denver, Philadelphia, NYC and maybe a couple of more, the passion level for the college game dwarfs it’s pro counterpart. Where’s the passion lye in Florida, where they have THREE NFL teams? Clearly on the college side. Ohio? The Buckeyes are far bigger than the Browns or Bengals. Texas? No contest (see below). Califormia? Heck, the second largest city in American doesn’t even WANT pro football, but they love their USC Trojans.
